ENOUGH DV was born from heartbreak—and from the fierce conviction that no one should have to suffer alone or in silence. In early 2025, Nebraska was shaken by a series of domestic violence homicides, including the devastating loss of our board president’s stepdaughter. Just two years earlier, another board member lost her sister in a rural DV homicide, leaving behind four children and a shattered community.

These tragedies continue at alarming rates— there are countless others that go unspoken —all of which have brought us together. Survivors, advocates, and loved ones united around a single, urgent truth: ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

Many have joined us across the community, others offer insight by sharing stories, demanding change, and refusing to accept that domestic violence is inevitable or that the justice system is strong enough to protect those who do everything right. The message was clear: We need better laws, more trained individuals, better enforcement, and additional peer-to-peer support for after significant traumatic events.

ENOUGH DV is more than a name. It’s a promise to redefine resilience and restore hope.

We are survivors. We are changemakers. We are building a movement to stop the cycle of violence before it claims more lives. Though we’re still growing, our mission is clear: to strengthen protections, amplify survivor voices, and create real, lasting change.

If you’ve been impacted by domestic violence—whether directly or through someone you love—you are not alone. We see you. We believe you. And we’re here to walk beside you.
